The Devil's Party

The Devil’s party has begun, no room for priests and nuns
Assimilation is the game, of daughters and of sons
Oblations fill the table, with pledges of the self
Sacrificial deals are made, for power fame and wealth
There sits the vile old horny one, hate dripping from his mouth
He checks around for holiness, east, west, north and south
Then grinning like a headsman, saying ‘You are all enlisted’
He pours his blood into their cups, his features gaunt and twisted
‘Worship me and you will see, how generous I can be
Indulgence in your dark desires, from now on will be free
But never question my requests, or ponder my decrees
Or ever speak of Godliness, or what a good man see’s
And so on goes the dealing, omitting minor terms —
That souls are lost forever, as their signature confirms
Encloaked now in duplicity, embracing lies forked-tongue
They leave to join the world of men, with all intentions, ‘wrong’
So, how do we distinguish now, and recognize these souls
Well, that becomes quite simple, ‘by considering their goals’
Many turn to politics, and changing what ‘laws’ say
Others dress in uniforms, and choose the soldiers way
The ones who are most eager, to abet their masters’ plot
Pave his way for warfare, to watch men die and rot
They bring about great chaos, deceiving all the earth
And forging deep delusion, they respawn evil birth
This place on which you live is a hallowed dueling ground
Don’t expect its nature to change whilst you’re around
Refuse the arms they offer you; they’re not the ones to wield
As ‘party absentees’, your fate has not been sealed
Independent thought is the weapon of the wise
Withdrawal from the mania, disrupts oppressive ties
Re-engage your sovereignty, seize your chance to use
The gift that freewill offers you —the simple right to choose
